Every 12 years, the 2 biggest Rugby powers, the New Zealand All Blacks and the British & Irish Lions clash in an epic Rugby experience. Historically, this rivalry has determined who had the best Rugby team in the world. This time, the competition extended off the pitch as well. Guinness (England/Ireland), the official sponsor of the matches and Steinlager, New Zealand’s most popular beer created a turf war between fans. By placing digital screens in high traffic areas in airports, travelers could establish territory for their respective side. Over the 6 weeks that this went on for, 2.5 million people passed through the airport, generating 96,000 impressions from passionate rugby fans. Make sure to see the video below to watch these fans battle it out for airport dominance!
