ColourMirror is an accompanying project to the exhibition In the Mood for Colours at the Museum of Applied Arts, Budapest, which has near 400 pieces on show arranged by their colors in Red, Green, and Blue rooms. The interactive installation offers:
– A fun way of matching up visitors’ own color schemes with the spectacular colors of the exhibits, by scanning the colors of each visitor looking into the mirror, and offering a matching exhibit.
– Multiple spectacular visualizations of the colors of the visitors (most colorful visitors, most frequent colors, …), based on data collected, shown on spot and to be used on website of the museum.
– “Digital postcard” to be sent home and shared on social media, showing the mirror image of a visitor with the art object recalled by her/him.
